The
Pub was a Posting house at the turn of the previous century, it was
then called "The Queens Hotel" a picture of the Queens Hotel
is displayed is the bat by the fireplace.
Our beer
menu is combined with Beers and Ales from the UK and Belgium. Food and
Drink are combined for a filling meal that was served with Ale to wash
it down after meat or poultry course of the evening meal at posting
houses and Inns.
It was the growth of laws governing beer, and emanating from the Dutch,
which generated the Belgian Revolution of 1830. What's more, the first
government contained a member of the Rodenbach family, of whom we know
the brewery, situated in Roeselare. Coming from across the Channel,
the Industrial Revolution resulting in a strong English influence on
technical evolution - of men as of machines - at raw material level
(notably hops and sugar), and in respect of the press concerning this
